Humpbacks: Inside the Pod
A Film Produced by National Geographic
Whales are the largest, most intelligent, most enigmatic hunters in the sea. Humpback whales are icons of their kind. Centuries of slaughter pushed them to the brink of extinction but they’ve made a comeback. In an effort to learn what these whales need to survive, teams of researchers get up-close and personal with not-so-gentle giants to reveal their secret lives – inside the pod. To learn more simply show up next Thursday!
As always, these events begin at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday evening in the theater at the Hanauma Bay Education Center. Events are free and open to the public, with no charge for parking after 5:30 p.m. We hope to see you on Thursday evening! These programs are supported and funded by the City and County of Honolulu Department of Parks and Recreation.
